Nice to hear from you Samantha in Oregon....although duck shirts are not allowed in this house:). Carol will be in touch at some point, and was touched by your letter. Interesting story from Brazil. It shows how lucky we have been through all this. I remeber how worried the doctors were about internal bleeding issues and permanent brain and organ issues from it, and we had none, and her kidneys miraculously started working again. Anywho how bout some pictures from the last couple weeks...

Hi Carol & Scott,

Unlike most of the preceeding comments, I'm not a total stranger..I posted a few months ago.. prior to Carol leaving the hospital. Obviously, I was overwhelmed with what was happening with your family and have continued to carry a significant burden for you.

Carol and I knew each other very well in high school and beyond, in fact, we lived next door to each other during that time. She was an amazingly strong person then as I'm sure she is now! If anyone can pull through this, she can...especially with the loving support she has around her.

Please tell her that you are both constantly on my mind and I am in awe of her BEAUTIFUL family! Please also tell her that she looks great! Time has been good to her.

Blessings,

Bryon

Thank you for posting the beautiful pictures. Amazing that Safiya looks so much like Chloe these days...and her hair reminds me of Chloe's hair when she was an infant. They are beautiful.

Carol...you look beautiful. Love the picture of you and the girls with your mom. Thinking of you always. Love you!

I am virtually a stranger out here in cyber world, but I've been following your blog for some time now. I, like everyone else here, am amazed by Carol's strength and beauty. Scott, you are truly a wonderful husband and father, and it is obvious how much you and Carol love each other. I am inspired by your devotion to each other. God bless you as you continue on this journey. Is it me, or does the baby look a lot like the grandmom?

The babe looks a bit like my new babe, if you ask me. Basically, the cutest baby eva. It was REALLY good to see pictures. Thanks Scott for all the updates. Even if we don't say it all the time, we are constantly thinking of you. We miss you guys and wish we were there. Well, not necessarily in E-Claw, but with you. Near you. You get the picture, eh?

Carol- I am not a stranger to you. I took care of you on night shift during your time in the ICU at Swedish. I frequently think of you and check your blog. Thru this blog I have been able to actually see how my patient is doing outside of the hospital and your outcome has filled my heart with joy. I know its alot of work Carol but you are so strong and will continue to progress im sure. I am so glad you are able to enjoy your beautiful family. Best wishes to you and know that we all think of you and Scott often. When you are able we would all love to see you. Come visit sometime even if its months or years down the road. We wont forget you.
