9/16/2008

Well I have been without a computer for a few days, apologies for not keeping everyone in the loop.

Carol is home now...we got her home about 7 pm last night. The house is a little frantic, or at least I am there, trying to find places for everything, and the best way to do everything.

Carol is doing pretty well...her back is still in a lot of pain. Hopefully that will get better now at home.

I will post more tonight hopefully. Thank you everyone for all of your generosity.

I found this blog from a blogger who is doing silent auctions for Stephanie Nielson and your wife. I have now read each and every entry. I marvel at your wife's strength and the support your family has received during this heartbreaking time. Thank goodness for a healthy, beautiful baby who represents the miracle of life. Carol and you will remain in my prayers...and I'll continue to read your blog, hoping for more and more positive news from a remarkable woman & her equally wonderful husband!

Yeah! Home will make these next months so much easier. She will have you right by her side and all of her friends and family near too.

Now that she is home can you please post how we can help? Transportation, food, etc.

Are you accepting visitors at your home or does she need time to herself?

Carol,
Congratulations on your homecoming!! It must feel so wonderful to be in your own bed with your girls and Scott so close by. We wish you the best, we know it can't be easy right now but with all the strength you've shown in these last few months we know you're going to do wonderfully!

Scott, thank you for the update!

And to Erica and the other fundraiser organizers, great job and thank you!

Love, the Walgreens

Hi Scott. . .I was just informed about your situation from my mom in Enumclaw (I have moved out of state). I went to HS with your sister Erin, and remember you as well. I just want you to know that you have support both near, and far! What a horrible tragedy to hear of. I find peace in that Carol has been able to come home and is improving each day, as you write. We never know what hand God will deal us (I completed 8 months of cancer treatment myself this year), but what we should know is that He always has a plan. Your family is in my prayers--gorgeous daughters, by the way. Stay strong and positive. In my personal struggle this year, I found that I could deal efficiently with far more than I ever imagined I could, when put to the test. I hope you are finding this as well. I plan to donate and my mom says she will be bringing a check down to Bonnie at your office. God Bless You! Take care, Decker Family. Love, Kimberly Smith

WELCOME HOME CAROL!!!! I'm so thankful to God and everyone who has been praying for you since June! What a journey you have been through. God has a perfect plan for you even though we/you don't know what it is. You truly are a blessing to so many and you have got to be the strongest WOMAN I have ever met. Praying and thinking of you always. Truly you have touched my heart in so many ways that I can't even discribe. I will pray for you to have an easy time settling into home again. I will pray for your back pain to go away too! Home is good! :) Stay strong and postive! I'm happy for all of you!

P.S. We are planning on having a much needed garage sale. We are sending all we make to you!

Love and Hugs,
Marie
