Snapshots of the long weekend. It felt great to spend a few full days with the family. Carol is soar from all her rehab. We got the tree up and decorated. Thanksgiving was great....lots of food. We are still working on the leftovers. Thanks to all the inlaws for a great holiday, and to the members of my family who were there as well. We made a trip to Target to get Christmas decorations. Challenging little trip, but we made it. Chloe continues to be a little of a challenge with Carol. Since Carol can't do alot as far her needs right now, we are working on ways that she can. It's tough...it seems as if Chloe see's mom as competition for my attention. We may be wrong, but that seems to be what is going on. She is great around Carol when I am not around...in any case we are working on that. Safiya remains stellar. Just the happiest kid eva!!! Thanks everyone!!
Scott

Hi Scott and Carol,
I came across your blog, and have been following for a few months now. Carol, you are such an inspiration to me! I have a chronic illness, and it gets really bad during pregnancy and recovery. I wasn't able to take care of my babies, or even myself for several months after the births of my two daughters, and it was so painful to not be able to mother them as I'd always dreamed of doing! Fortunately, I get slowly stronger with time, but my health is always a challenge. There are blessings though. In fact sometimes I think the girls prefer my bad days, because those are the days I just hang out with them, instead of trying to be productive. Anyways, I know my trials are paltry compared to yours, which is why your courage, determination and confidence motivate me so much!! You are in my prayers!
PS My oldest was much more attached to her Dad, which was hard for me, but now that my youngest is 18 months, and demands all of her Daddy's attention, my 5-year-old and I are really close. Funny, how they go through phases.
Carol looks beautiful!
Hi,
I just wanted you to know I check the blog a couple a times a week to see how Carol is doing. I went to middle school and high school with Carol, but I wasn't in her direct circle of friends, so I'm not sure if she remembers me.
I know that Carol is an inspiration to many people. What she has gone through and continues to go through, helps people put their lives into perspective and makes us all realize what is really important.
As one of our classmates said to me, "Scott, really took his wedding vows seriously when he said in sickness and in health" Truly Awesome!
You are all in my thoughts and prayers!

I've been reading your blog since stumbling on to it a couple of months ago. After reading all that Carol has been through, and to see the pictures that you post now, it's truly amazing. She's incredibly beautiful and clearly has an inner beauty as well. I admire you, Scott, for your continously positive attitude. It is so encouraging to read how you deal with each obsticle with such grace.
Your family is in my prayers.
I came across your blog a few months ago but haven't been following it regularly. It's great to see Carol home and doing so well. I'm so happy for you all! What a sweet family!
Hi - I came across your blog through another blog and have been praying for all of you. The picture of Carol smiling just warmed my heart. I think of all that she has gone through and to see that beautiful smile with her children in the background. Like I said, it brought a smile in my heart and tears in my eyes. You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
In Him,
Julie
Thanks to all of you for your comments and thoughts!
Scott
